Default cracked timing belt cover

The water pump on my 2001 1500 5.9 went out today so I went down got one and proceeded to install. Everything was going great, lining up, bolts were threading by hand.but while I was tightening the bolts the rest of the way I noticed a crack in the timing chain cover anyway, what started as a relatively short project is now a 1 to 2 day project.
My question is now that I have to replace the timing cover, what else should I replace/check while I'm doing this? and is there a previous thread of the process? I could not find anything in the search. I'm thinking... timing chain (duh) the plenum gasket hasn't been replaced yet, the new water pump....... I'd appreciate any tips ,links, etc that would help. Btw I'm no master mechanic but am pretty good with tools...except for cracking timingchain covers Thanks in advance.... The truck has 92,000 miles on it.
