Is the coolant level where it should be in the radiator? If that's good, remove the glove box and locate the cable to the temp door and make sure it moves back and forth as you change the position of the temp knob. If everything is ok, you probably have a heater core clogging up. You can try back flushing the cooling system but if that fails then you'll need a new core.
