I have the Pro-gate wastegate kit, but it was delivered to the wrong address, and I did not get it when I was deleting the EGR system. I used block off plates, but the wastegate will bolt on where the EGR was, on the exhaust manifold.
The purpose of the wastegate is to release excess drive pressure, and cause less heat and stress on the head gasket. Adding a tuner and deleting EGR will increase pressure and exhaust gas temperature to dangerous levels. Head studs and a wastegate will make it reliable at a higher power level.
