You can see from the pictures that the top of the bar is pretty close to the bottom of the bumper.
Really, the only reason it fit on mine was because of the 3 inch body lift on my truck.
If you really want one, and you're looking at a lift anyways, go for a 2-3 in body lift; you can always go back and add on suspension with the body lift, and body lifts are fairly cheap. A suspension lift wouldn't do anything here, because you need to get the body higher off the frame, since the Sport model bumper is lower and sticks out at the bottom.
If you can't/don't want to get a lift, it wouldn't be too hard to get some metal and weld a new bracket for the bar.
You would have to take the brackets that come with the bar and make them stick down about 3 inches and out about 2-3 inches so that the bar would fit.
But remember, there are always options.
