One thing I do to keep rust in check is I apply a very, very light coating of white lithum grease around the most vunerable areas (like rivets and bolts) on the back-side of the bumpers (not the front side). I only apply a dab on the bolt/rivet and swirl it around the base with my finger. It defintely helps keep rust away. I am sure there are better applications than white grease but it works for me and you cannot see it.
SO YOU PUT LITHIUM GREASE ONLY ON RIVETS AND BOLTS AREA and what do you mean back side not front side
