The biggest reason for the reduction in gas millage is the air/fuel ration, not so much the timing. Regular gas has a ratio of 14.7:1 and E85 should have a ratio of 9.79:1...get the right air fuel ratio get more MPG. It's that simple and most of the new programmers will allow you to adjust your air/fuel ratio, at least my superchips one does
