when i first bought my Ram a bit better than 2 years ago
i was having FOB problems, the dealer tried replacing the FOB batteries, it didn't help
one day it was raining HARD, i had my arms full of groceries, FOBs didn't work, i had to use the Valet key, opened the door & put the FOB into the ignition & started it.
Next day i was sitting in line at the dealership at 7:30 am, they couldn't do anything for me that day, but, they did order 2 new FOBs & they called me the next day to come in & get them, they also did some kind of FLASH & in the last 18 months, maybe a hand full of times i had to press the Unlock function more then once, i use the Start function most of the time when its chilly

by the way FOB is short for FOBIK, which stands for Frequency Operated Button Integrated Key
sometimes Automatic Doors, CNC machines, etc, can cause radio interference
