Generally speaking the Banks systems, $ for $ do not produce as much hp as some of the other programmers. Banks however has some of the best R&D in the industry. They also have built in "safety" systems so you can't do a lot of harm to your engine. Banks is usually priced a little higher than some of the other programmers. If you want a little more power and performance then Banks would be a good choice. If your going racing or pulling then there are cheaper programmers that produce lots more hp. Remember that when you increase your hp over about 100 you start to put your stock turbo and trans in jeopardy. After owning 3 cummins diesels I learned some of these lessons the hard(expensive)way.
