It might be able to be done, but I wouldn't risk it without a test fit first. Because while my truck was having exhaust work done, I was checking out the wheels up in the air, and even with 17's, there wasn't much room around the drums in the back and even less room around the calipers and rotors up front. My advice would be to go to a tire shop and see if the have any 16" wheels sitting around for you to try and put on real quick to see if they'll clear.
