Default I've got a problem

when driving slow and normal everything is fine, but if i stomp on the throttle a bit from a stop only, forward or back i hear an awful "snap" sound. it sounds like its coming from around the trans or t-case area but its hard to tell from in the truck. everything seems tight but something is definatly wrong. bear in mind i am on 37's so they might be the cause of what ever is wrong but i cant figure out what exactly is making the sound. any help at all would be great.
thanks in advance
