Lots of confusion here. My manual does not ever recommend the diff fluid to be changed, only inspected. A dealer in tysons corner va says to change diff and transfer case fluid every 15k and that my diffs were "filthy" at 22k. They have a "special" all three for $450 - every 15k! I will get a second opinion on this at some point soon.
It seems another document from dodge says or used to say 54k or 60k.

Gear oil is pretty stout and in many applications it does not get changed. Other manufacturers say to change diff fluid at 75k or so but most failures seem to be because the diff is out of fluid.

I will probably have transfer case and diff fluids changed at 30k for peace of mind. The lifetime warranty question is interesting. I don't have it but if you did it would be tempting not to change it. If you do not use the dealer for service you MIGHT have to prove the diff fluid was inspected (probably not) but if you did use the dealer they would say to change it at some point and you would be stuck.
