Air bags and a load equalizing hitch will work just fine for sag. I used to work at an RV dealer and had a guy pulling a 10K lb 5th wheel with his half ton Ram. We didn't advise it, but he was adamant about it, so he left with the trailer in tow (after air bags) and it sat level. I can't say anything about the power of his truck with this setup, but I assume the truck struggled. If you are mainly concerned about sag, get the helper air bags and equalizing hitch... you won't sag. I will say though, if you plan to pull it a lot, a properly setup 3/4 ton truck makes a big difference, if that's an option for you of course. Good luck.
