Mine had the K&N in it when I bought it. I've checked into various intakes but decided on the Airaid modular intake tube primarily because of the cost and the fact that it will replace the restrictive accordian tube and sound resonator with a straight, smooth pipe. The MIT itself is about $110 shipped or you can get an Airaid jr. kit that comes with the tube and a high flow drop in filter for around $170 I think. Based on what I have read I don't expect any greatly noticeable gain....reviews seem to suggest maybe a little mid to top end torque, a little more engine noise in mid to top end, and probably the biggest difference...it just looks good, lol.

I have never had a Volant but they get good reviews. A buddy of mine puts one on every vehicle he buys. He swears the one on his Magnum made a huge noticeable difference but of course its a hemi. Good luck!!
