Default v10 4wd to 2wd??

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and I have myself a little (big) project. I just picked up a 1946 dodge dually. Along with that I bought a low mile 96 2500 V10 engine, automatic transmission (37RH?) with NP231 transfer case. I have the full wiring harness and computer. My plan is a beastly v10 powered chopped slammed dually rat rod. So my question, obviously I don't want a 4wd "frame layer" so What exactly do I need to do to convert to 2wd? I am guessing I need to find a tail shaft and output shaft from a 2wd, but does it have to be the 37RH or will any of the other autos tail shafts work? Also, do I need to change out the harness and ECU? Any help would be awesome. Oh, and yeah I know I could just go out and buy a 2wd but that's a lot of $$$ and I am trying to keep this as low budget as possible. The more money i save on this is more money for the twin turbo system i am building for it...oops have said to much!
