Default 2002 magnum 5.9 rough idle/ stallout when cold.

I have 2002 Ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.9 litre gas engine. I just got it a month ago. It is having a bad idle after it runs for 20 to 30 seconds at idle. Then the idle will want to drop dow to under 500 rpm and it acts like it is chugging or will choke itself too much gas. Smells like it is rich. It will almost run like this for a couple of minutes and then it iwll pick itself up to normal idle and smooth out. It will do this on almost everytime it is ran and restarted. Even after a little 5 minute cool down. I know these are known for intake leaks, but it sure seems like it would be something else. It has no check engine light on. It has stalled out a couple of times. I took it back to the Dodge dealer and they say it is due to the aftermarket exhaust, which I know is BS. CAN anyone give me a clear direction on what to change out. I am a Nissan Technician for Twleve years, so I have no problem doing the work. Anyone please help.
