yes...that small green, yet very faint light that shines down from the center console is known as the "ash tray" light. You don't need an ash tray to have that light. You don't need the smokers package or even the luxury group to get it. Dodge even refers to it as the "ash tray light" in their literature, and lighting schematics. And you are correct, it does not come close to illuminating where your ash tray would go, but how much light would you really need to see it without being too bright?
