Yes, I'm an engineer with Chrysler. I've worked in the RFE transmission group for the last 10 years or so. I don't know who decided (or why) to change the transmission designation from 545RFE to 65RFE, although I suspect Marketing was involved....

Is the only difference then with the 545rfe and 65rfe in fact the different torque converter?
