My truck made the 12 hr round trip yesterday to pick up the new engine. I paid $1500 for it with 71K miles on it. It had the crank pulled to be measured, polished and the main and rod bearings replaced as well as the rear main seal. The valve covers seals were also replaced.

Rather than dicker on the price, I got him to toss in the old injectors. I would like to get another 200K miles out of it but realistically, not knowing it's history, if I get 100K miles out of it, I will be happy.

I picked up everything else I will need to complete the swap for under $200 including a brand new OEM waterpump, spark plugs, rad hoses, thermostat, serpentine belt and gaskets. Just need to find a new passenger side motor mount and I am ready for the swap.

I will be doing the actual swap in a couple weeks unless my current engine changes it's mind.
