You're not gonna get very good mileage out of a full sized truck. There is no way around it. I think the newer trucks will get slightly better that what you're experiencing, but not much.

If you need better mileage, then you need to find a car that is not only smaller, but lighter and is sure to get the better milage.

I recently purchased a Honda Cr-Z. It's a 2 seat hybrid (of sorts) that goes like hell, and still gets 35+ MPG. I use it to run errands around town and just play...

My truck is my family hauler, and going back and forth to work rig
