I have the front and rears rubber splash guards. I installed them myself. The fronts bolt up to the holes that the fender flares would be attached. And they go under the bottom of the inside of the fender the plastic part. Their is no cutting of the rubber splash guard. They fit perfect. I have 6000 miles and no issues I can see. If it was daylight I would snap a pic for you
