I certainly appreciate your response. I realize people can get tired of these questions, but I've been searching for over a week on this, what confused me were the aftermarket shocks.

I've been leaning towards a rough country 5" lift, it seems to be the most bang for the buck, and I should be able to get one shipped to my apo.

I didn't realized my tires were different sized until today. I've only put it in 4wd a couple times on some dirt roads, but it felt very strange, and I've been worried about it. When I get new tires (which I need), I'll throw it in 4x4 again and see how it feels. Worst case, I'll have it rebuilt. (Labor for my full transmission rebuild was about $260 from a mechanic with a good reputation and a specialty in transmissions).

If I get 285's now, and put on the 5" lift later, would those tires , would those tires look too small?
