Neither. They are wired directly to the battery. It has a special circuit that knows when you start your car and automatically turns them on.

I have the Paramount Grille Insert in my lower grille so I'm going to have to look into fitting these into the lower corners of the upper grille area. Hopefully they'll peek out between the billet bars and I can hide them behind the grille.

I paid $156.86 when they first came out. I heard that they were going to have a price increase, so I bought them.
