Body lift is definately in order, mine is 4 " and 14.5x36x15s were definately maximum, but I hated driving around with those crackfinders, the geometry those big dia tires were just too much for the design limits of my steering, sometimes it was downright scary how the truck chased every crack in the road. Try this, on dry pavement, stand in front of your truck and have someone else wiggle the steering wheel back and forth a little, the front of your truck, beginning at the front of the cab will wiggle its nose, just like a bunnyrabbit. taller tires magnifies this, thus driveability is affected, I've heard someone makes a bracket to stiffen these trucks frames up, but I've become quite happy with a shorter tire, and they don't look stupid, even with the 4" body lift. I would think you may need an 85 profile with that large of a tire for an 8" wide rim, but I'm not certain.
