Are you using the same old oil pump? A good high volume oil pump would certainly help if you feel up to the task. Is this oil pressure fed from the top down or from the bottom up? You should track down your oil suply direction from the beginning to the end. I don't know this the lifters fed by way of lifter bores or pumped down the pushrods? Is the oil being fed down through holes in the heads, could the holes in question be restricted? I have yo go back and read but it't in the same cylinders...something transfered over from the original engine seems to be the culprit for sure...head gaskest restricting an oil passage? If it's in the same int/ seems the only explanation. It driving me bananas and it's not even mine, lol! EDIT: I refreshed...go for a high volume oil pump.
