I have had my F1 for about a year now, no regrets. With regards to installation, the drain tubes were probably the most hassle involved. Since I have a sprayed in bedliner, I had to cut off the lining before punching the knockouts out. Pretty simple, really. My hoses were more than long enough, so maybe the kits have improved somewhat.

I posted earlier on this thread about the locking mechanism. What I did (that took the most time) is after the install and the cover was lined up fine, I crawled under the cover and saw how the latches barely caught underneath the F1 rails. I removed the screws and slid the latches to the outside, maybe 1/4", so the latches actually caught better. On a couple of them, I drilled a couple of new holes for the latch screws. (The drilled holes are underneath, not through the cover).

Probably not necessary, but it did make it latch a little tighter.
