Default What causes this little whining sound at high RPMs on Ram trucks?

Hi all. Question out of curiousity....what is it that causes the faint whining sound that some (or maybe all...dunno) Ram trucks do at higher RPMs? Mine does it and it's actually rather loud in the truck. I'm pretty sure it's just a design function because I have noticed it on several other Rams as well. Not sure if it is specific to 4.7L or 5.7L but by nature I have only noticed it on trucks with the auto tranny. Is it a belt whining, similar to a supercharger belt? Is it some part of the air induction system? Hopefully it's not actually the tranny. Here's a vid to illustrate what I am talking about. I'll post some more if I can find them. It's often hard to hear on videos over the exhaust.

It starts on this one around the 14 sec mark and you can hear it faintly until he slows down the first time. Then skip to the end where he goes WOT and you can hear it for about five secs starting at 1:55.
