The noise is a growling / grumbling type noise (we call it "warble") that only happens when the torque converter clutch (TCC) is fully locked. In my experience, this is a noise only (not a vibration that you feel). In MDS mode, we run with the TCC only partially engaged, so you should not hear this noise in MDS. You can check for it by using the ERS buttons to select "5". That will disable MDS and allow full TCC engagement. The noise (if present) will be heard only at light throttle (light cruise) at fairly low engine speeds.

I have not heard anything about a recall (in April or otherwise) for this issue. Not all trucks exhibit this noise. Like I said, it depends on how high your spline clearance is.
