Unhappy Center Console Hinge Issue

Hey everyone,

I have a question regarding the center console in my 99 Ram 2500. When I had purchased the truck from the previous (original) owner, I notice that when I would move the center console seat portion (either up or down) one of the sides would pop out of the hinge area. Upon investigation of my problem I found that the threaded piece that should be affixed to the inside main part of the console had dropped down inside. (somehow came off the inside of the metal frame inside?!) leaving me unable to get the threaded screw to meet up with the mating threads.

Is there any way to take out the inside plastic molding of the center console to re-weld the threaded piece back onto the main framework of the console? Please help, this is quite annoying and I'd rather not have to purchase an entire new center console.

Thanks all,
