Back in the UK I owned WRX's, GTI's and various hot hatches, and I used them properly (track days, country roads). Then 18 months ago I moved to Alberta where to say every other vehicle on the road is a Pick-Up truck would not be an understatement. I then started to take not of them, how quick they are off the line and how good they sound. then 6 months ago i decided I needed one and began, last week I got one, and I love it too bits.
not wanting to offend but: i would never ever in a million years consider running or driving one in the UK and really don't see the appeal of such a vehicle back in my former home (my other vehicle here is a Grand Cherokee and that's almost too big for the UK IMO). Parking spaces too small, roads too narrow, left hand drive, fuel prices, running costs etc etc. If I unfortunatley had to return to old blighty i'd certainly not buy a truck there, i'd be driving another WRX or GTI. I really don't get the appeal to driving one in the UK
