Default Headlight Issue

Hey guys.

I know what you think when you see another headlight issue post, but let me assure you, I'm not going to say anything about the quality of the beam projected from my headlights...I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed that on their 4th gen. Ram's, the passenger side headlight sits about 1/4" recessed into the fender/bumper, while the driver side sits perfectly flush? I thought it was unique to my 2012, but I've checked out all the ones on the dealer's lot, as well as some prior years in parking lots and so forth, and they all appear to have this. Not sure if it's a design deal to bring cool air around the headlight into the intake, or if it might be something else entirely....Anyone have any thoughts? Just bothers me now that I've noticed it...
