Default stock hitch receiver rating? 97 2500 V10 2WD

Could anyone help me find the rating of the stock 2" trailer hitch receiver on my "new" work truck? It is a 1997 Ram 2500 V10 2WD regular cab. I understand that the tow rating of the truck is quite impressive but the previous owner of the truck obviously did not use it for towing anything big, because it has never had a brake controller on it. The sticker on the factory receiver is long gone so I would like to know if I should upgrade it.

My trailer is a 8.5x20 10K enclosed model and actual weight when loaded is around 7500# to 9000#.

Also is using the overdrive when towing not recommended on the 47RE? I have not even owned the truck for a day, so I haven't had a chance to look over everything in detail, but if it does not have an auxiliary transmission oil cooler, I will add one. I am assuming the transmission oil is at least routed through the main radiator.

Thanks!
