If you were running your stock 20" wheel/tire combo, @ 33" tire circumference it does get rid of some off the line launch. Try switching to 30" or even better 27-29" tires for dragging. Just grab a speedo calibrator so transmission and wheel speed sensors all work in harmony. You'd be surprised how many tenths you pick up just correcting your final gear ratio with tires alone. And for us 4x4's, it's a much cheaper route than replacing front and rear gear and pinions plus a set of lightweight wheels and drag radials. Like BlackRamHemi said, he's running between a 27-27.45" drag tire among other upgrades with the 3.55's and does really good. Just another alternative to try before you swap out gears; AND it'd be a good hard data comparison between both applications.
