I'd like to know WHERE you found out that the 6.4 and 5.7 use the same springs. I've searched through factory parts dealers websites and they are listed with different factory part numbers.

The comp cams have more lift then then the 6.4 cam so how would they not require different springs? A spring for .470" lift is certainly NOT going to work with .6++" lift!

I swapped a ls9 cam in my ls3 camaro because it was non-dod, non-vvt, and similar in lift to the stock ls3 cam....just a little bit more duration. It was good for 20hp. The car only had 800 miles on it and didn't even require gaskets.

If you try put a comp .6++ lift cam with stock lifters (w/out tuning out mds) and stock springs you will surely toast your motor! I'd like you to even find a mechanic who will tell you they'll do it for you. You obviously can't do it yourself or you would know better!
