I have to pull a small 6x10 trailer maybe 3 times a year so towing is not really a major concern. My thing is the down shifting, I freaking hate it!!! I was going to order a superchips flashpaq, JBA headers, offroad y-pipe, catback and airraid intake tomorrow will this combo fix the downshifting issue? I got a heck of a deal when I bought the truck thats why I settled for the 4.7 but if I can't find a way to get the power up on this thing I'm going to trade it for a 6.0 GM truck. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!
The downshifting was a big problem for my 4.7 also. I got the SC flashpaq and it cured it pretty well.. the truck can climb hills and hold its speed without downshifting. That alone was worth the cost of the tuner to me. it also added some power, throttle responce, and a few other tools and options that are helpful.
All that being said.. I have the latest 4.7 (~310 HP), and you have the older 4.7 (~240). So will a flashpaq help? proably, but I dont know if it will have the same resluts.
