Default passenger assist handle

My wife has to use the assist handle (the grab bar on the A-pillar) to get in the passenger side of the truck, and has to pull on the steering wheel to get in the driver's side. I'd rather not put steps on the side of the truck (consider it a personal quirk ), is there a way to install a handle like the passenger side has on the driver side A-pillar so she doesn't have to pull on the steering wheel?
