Default Time for new Plate's

NY Tags expire in November, and I can't renew them, because I am not a resident of NY and I have no immediate family there. I don't want to anyway, their plates are ugly, and NY just generally sucks as a state (sorry NY'ers), with all their red-tape rules and crap legislation.

Anywhoo, Time for new ones. Since I am military and a resident of the state of Texas, I can and will wear Texas Plates on my Ram. Here are my options:

I kind of want something to do with my military service...but at the same time I am a huge Nascar fan, and the regular Texas Plate looks good too. I was always a Dale Earnhardt fan, even before he died. Was hoping for a Purple Heart Plate but it says you have to have a 50% disability rating from the VA, and as I haven't been discharged yet, I can't get that plate yet.
