What tire size are you going with 305/45 or 305/40? The 305/40 will give you an effective gear reduction since the tires are smaller in diameter. I personally like the 40 series better on a lowered truck with the added performance as a plus. Make sure to research the tire weight between manufacturers. They vary quite a bit even for the same tire size. Try to minimize the weight of the new wheels/tires as best as possible.

Since there are no tuners available yet I would recommend focusing on drive train upgrades to make the best of the power you currently have. At the track our trucks dog off the line. The stock 3.55 gears dont help a 5000lb truck much off the line. A set of 4.10 gears from the R/T and an upgraded torque converter will really wake the truck up and help improve those 60' times. With the right tires and a few drive train upgrades you can get in the 13's. I've personally hit a 14.6 in stock trim, 14.3 with minor weight reduction. There is a guy here who has a '11 express with LSD and 3.92's and he is in the 13's stock. It can be done, and yes, without 29" street slicks on 17's!
