That's quite the opening statement !! but, I suspect the problem lies in the previous 132,000 miles before you bought the truck , who knows what that truck has been through before you bought it , I just traded off an 06 1500 S/T 1500 ,w/6spd manual trans, that was one of the toughest factory trucks I've ever seen .
out of the 80,000 on the clock , over 50,000 was hardcore wheeling ,speed shifting, mud bogging , drag racing ,jumping , and spent every winter packing two sleds on the deck , with a combined weight of about 1800lbs , I never had a single drivetrain or suspension failure , in saying that , trucks require regular maintenance , checking for wear, changing fluids etc , or they will not last . by the way , your truck is listed as a 1500 Lariat ??? Don't you mean a Laramie ??
