The rear end is typically higher to allow for a load which can set the back end down quite a bit. And you want to have a lot of spring travel so a load won't bottom the springs/shocks out. If there are blocks between the rear axle & the leaf springs you can remove those to lower the rear end & not lose any spring travel but if not you could get longer springs for the front. Just be aware that if you do carry heavy loads from time to time you'll have the opposite effect -- rear end being lower than the front.
