They look better once they've been wiped down and don't have so much brake dust on them. What i did was use hand scrub brush and some brake cleaner and scrubbed them after taking them off. Then I used an extreme heat tolerant paint that was actually meant for BBQ's. That paint was flat and used as a basecoat primer then i sprayed on the gloss Dusty Rose i bought from Home Depot. I spent one day doing two and then the other two the next day.
Next i'd actually like to paint the beveled edges of the spokes to complete the look and then work my way into accenting things like the swaybars and stuff.
People's reactions are funny. Couple car guys at work gave me a funny a look and one pretended he was starting to cry. I've seen people do double takes to make sure they saw what they think they saw. Too funny.
The reason? Like said, anything else was too mainstream.
