There are mixed reviews, there are some who love it, some who notice no difference, and some who have had pretty serious negative results(issues with slipping, etc).

In either case, the 65rfe("new" six speed) is identical to the 545rfe("old" 5 speed). Same transmission just renamed, so I would think it'd work.

The hemi in the HD trucks(2500, etc) has a 66rfe(different than 545rfe/65rfe). The diesels have a 68rfe(also different).

The booster for the 545rfe/65rfe will probably be a different part than the one for the 66rfe or 68rfe.
