Default Water sloshing inside interior A/C and heater unit

Water appears to be sloshing inside vehicle A/C and heater unit forward of front passenger seat. It appears to be worse after vehicle has been sitting a few hours or overnight and goes away after vehicle is driven for a short while. I have checked the outside drain in firewall, which I have installed a 90 degree elbow (exit down of course), and condensate is dripping out. There is no leak inside the cab and carpet is dry. A/C and heater operate normally. Would it appear that this is normal? A/C often 'hisses' after vehicle is shut off as if pressure was equalizing inside unit. you thoughts or experience would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim
