I've got a '95 1500 5.2L. I've got a dual cat-back flowmaster muffler with no tails on it. I've done a complete top end cleanse of the engine <500 miles ago, and ALWAYS make sure I'm keeping up with routine maintenance. I just installed a Luk Pro Gold clutch on it, and that's AMAZINGLY increased my acceleration. No more fighting to get onto freeways.

I average about 13 city & 16 highway. My city mpg is prob less than 13 most of the time. Ever since I've put the flowmaster on it, I can't keep my foot off the pedal.

I started driving the truck when gas prices were >$4/gal so I've taught myself a few tricks to ^ my mpg.

1. COAST AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!! I know you look stupid sometimes going down the road, but trust me!

2. Don't drive aggressively!

3. Tire pressure & routine maintenance is a MUST!!!!

4. Avoid a route that involves hills.

I know these are probably common sense to most of us, but that's why I say it. Most of us use common sense. Other people, not so much...
