On my old '56 Chevy 1/2 ton
my doors had rusted out, i ordered some patch panels & had them cut out the rust & install the new panels. While doing this, you have to be careful when welding, you can very easily warp the door.

I had another set of doors in good shape, on those i had the inside of the doors sandblasted & then sprayed with epoxy paint, after drilling out all the weep holes in the bottom of the door, where the rust begins

I am a believer in that spray that they use in Canada, a company called Krown sprays it
I forgot to get it done to my Ram every time that i am in Canada, i get to busy, to much fun up there
