Hell, the reason I'm doing my own is because for the Tru-trac swap with 4.10s front and back (in a 4x4) I was quoted an average of $3K from 3 separate shops, parts included. I can buy parts for $700 and learn to do it myself to save $2300, plus know how to do it in the future for myself or friends. I hate just dropping something off and not doing it myself because then all I've done is spent money and haven't learned anything, even if learning costs me a bit more it's worth it.
