Probably was the LDP. P0440 is often a leak(bad seal at the cap, or dry rotted hoses). Thanks for posting!

I had a P0440 on my wife's aveo and a $7 cap fixed it. Is getting better mpg now slightly, I think the fuel was evaporating when sitting. The inside of the gas cap door was always "gunky" and after replacing the cap it doesn't get like that. The fuel must have been evaporating.
