Torque is what gets you moving, horsepower is what keeps you there. Without torque you have nothing...though, without hp, as you said, your have nothing either....so, the trick is, to find a happy medium.

Thanks. I understand what you're saying- most people (myself included) seem to know horsepower numbers better than the torque because that's what is advertised the most. Both are definitely important- which one you need more of is dependent on your application.
