Default Fail- Transmission to cooler line,,,,

Hey Everyone

Ill be the first to admit I failed today.

On my way to work this morning a line from the transmission going to the trans cooler decided to blow apart. I had to have my truck towed back home. The line came out of the rubber line going to the cooler and pretty much emptied the tranny. I was unable to move.

The truck sat all day, I went to a local auto parts store were I was sold 6 litres of tranny fluid and said this was factory speck. I trusted the store and never checked out this site before going to town on the repair.

Well in the process, there was a line that goes down from the passenger side compartment down to what I thought was to fill the transmission. Little did I know its a line going to some cansisters on the frame rail.

So now that there is tranny fluid in this tube, how would I go about cleaning this out as I assume its probably an important part.

I ended up filling the tranny through the dipstick tube, the truck shifts somewhat normal. Just wondering how much damage was caused when it went so low.

Sorry for the long read, just need to figure how to clean the canisters
