Default Cold start question

Hey guys I have a 98 1500 with the 5.2 that has an extended crank when the truck is cold, so sat for more than 4 hours or so. If I start to let it crank for a second instead of waiting the 5 seconds for it to crank and then let go and turn the key again it starts right away. I tried letting the pump prime before I try and crank her when cold but that makes no difference. It usually starts fine when I run into the store, except for a couple times it made a scratchy sound and I'd either have to let go and try again or it would just get itself to start. But that was only maybe 3 times.

Already done:
Ignition coil
Plugs
Wires
Rotor and cap
Air filter
IAC
Cleaned out throttle body
Had battery tested at autozone and advance and both said it was fine.
Checked for black smoke or fuel smell at tailpipe but didn't find any.

Thanks in advance guys. I don't know if its related but it also has A slight shake at idle and when at a stop light etc and the rpm will jump back and forth about 50 rpm.
