Cut rear springs beyond 1 coil at your own risk. I cut 1 full coil off and I can remove the spring with one hand easily when the suspension is unloaded! I would I imagine the springs would just fall out (when unloaded) if you cut a couple of coils off, and if you get into an off-camber situation while driving they could potentially do the same. Not a good scenario. You could install limiting straps to prevent this, but why? Drop kits are'nt that expensive, and it's not worth f'ng your truck up or killing yourself to save a few bucks. This another reason I'll be going with a BellTech kit, the shocks are shorter to prevent excessive droop in the rear suspension when unloaded, which in turn keeps the spring in the truck where it belongs. Do what you will, but be careful and think it through...
